SECTION 8 portability question PLEASE HELP !!!?

ok so i decided to move upstate ny with my section 8 voucher, my question is when i move up there will section 8 pay all my rent until i get a job, because im working now but wont be when i move up there, what will be the portion of my rent with no income, my fiance told me not to worry about it becuz he will pay for everything but he's not on my voucher. did anyone move to another state and had to start all over again? please help!!! honest answers plz!!!
