Will i make Varsity?

Im a freshman golfer. Im hoping to make varsity boys golf. There are like two spots open out of five, im a 5.5 handicap and improving a lot. There is a kid that is a 5 handicap on varsity and our JV wasnt very good last year. Soo im wondering if ill be on varsity. I think im good enough idk if the coach thinks a frosh on varsity is a good idea?
