What are some really good books that help learning the Spanish language?

I am already fluent in Spanish, but I lack the comprehension of common slang, and common phrases that one would hear living in a Spanish speaking world. Are there any good books for this? Please do not tell me about 501 verbs in Spanish or some Spanish dictionary, I would like titles of books that tells the "real" Spanish that is spoken outside of grammar texts produced in the United States.

It seems like you are at the perfect weight, but i definitely know how you feel. Since the sports you are going to bo doing in high school need high endurance...get your endurance up this summer by running miles a day getting your time to 5-8 minutes per mile. This is especially good for soccer and bball. Gain some muscle in your arms and legs too for volleyball and ice hockey by doing bicep curls and leg presses. You should be in tip top shape for the summer...no problem!!

Are AFL players similar to AFL fans who post in this section?

Yes, many of them are actors! I mean both the players and the people who post in here. Its amazing what one can do while sitting behind a computer screne. The older one gets the younger looking avatar he or she selects. People become great footballers themselves while posting in here, although they probably battled to get a game in the local B grade side. I dont care two hoots what identities people take on. I dont care how many identities they ume because it does not affect me. Why worry about it like so many here do? They must have a boring real life if such things get them so upset and bothered.

Is my "look" preventing me from getting a date?

Here's my dilemma. I'm always told that I'm very cute and nice, but I am 22 and have never been on a date because I never get asked out. Is it possible it's because I'm too nice? Is that a turn off? Because I always get that "awww" look from guys as if I were a cute little girl, even if they're younger than me. Plus people always say I just look really innocent, which admitedly I kind of am. But could this be what's preventing guys from approaching me in that way? I always get that I'm "cute" but not "hot". Am I just not interesting enough or what?

My speech topic is on Fashion.?

There are several different ways that you could go with this speech since fashion is such a broad topic. One angle that you could discuss the economic factors of the fashion world including how much money is generated through the fashion industry, yearly revenue spent on fashion and the importance of particular designers including Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Versacci, and others. Societal impact of fashion on the world could also be a topic of interest. You could also discuss the connection between the media and the fashion industry including television shows such as Project Runway, fashion magazines such as Vogue and GQ, film industry including red carpet events where a common question asked of the stars is "who are you wearing?", and how fashions in the media influence what people wear in society. Another angle could be to follow the process of a designer from the creation of a line of clothing through to the presentation of a fashion show. As I said previously, there are many different directions that you can go with such a broad topic. Hopefully I have given you a few ideas about how to proceed.
