I'm frm India.I'm not able to send sms frm Y.Messenger to Hutch subscribers in Chennai although its compatible

Hello, I am from India and I am not able to send sms from Yahoo Messenger to Hutch subscribers in Chennai althought the service provider is compatible with the messenger.What is the problem?
